Yoga Detox Retreat
Stroud
27 April - 1 May 2017
This exciting retreat is an opportunity to delve into your body, heart and mind.
This Detox is a Half Fasting Retreat has many benefits, including clarity, release of toxins, increased energy and vitality, mental clarity and focus, breaking addictions and bad habits, stress release and pain management and discovering foods that heal your body and mind. Participants have enjoyed immediate positive changes, which they have been able to develop and maintain.
In regular life we often dilute toxins in the body, in this retreat we create/experience an internal and external environment that allows the body to recognise and expel these toxins.
Half fast means that we have a cup of special tea in the morning, soup for lunch and a small dinner that seems huge once you're half way through. We chew everything thoroughly to aid and simplify digestion for the body. Even if you are not coming on this retreat might I suggest to you that whenever you have time, chew your food very well. For example, a minimum of 20 chews each mouthful, but if you time 40 or 50 or more.
Fasting is not always fun/easy!! We do our best to support and nurture you through your fasting. The more experience you have in fasting, the easier it is. It brings you to a deeper relationship with yourself. Sometimes it feels a little uncomfortable, so if you need to rest, rest. It is a special time to rest not only the physical body, also the internal organs - the source of our vitality!
The program has been developed over many years and the daily program is busy and interesting to keep you occupied. The location is the beautiful Stroud Monastery. We hope you can join us.

Stroud Monastery is surrounded by beautiful bush land.

There are a dams with beautiful lotus flowers in them.

Sometimes it gets cold at Stroud and we use the fireplaces. This one is in the yoga room.
